Route 7 Bypass, Brookfield, CT
Installation of a permanent soil nail wall to support a steep cut directly beneath an historic cemetery along the route of the 2.3 mile extension to the Route 7 Bypass. Since the target soils exhibited very little cohesion, drilled and grouted vertical soils nails (VNAILs) were installed prior to excavation and soil nailing.
