Moretrench recently hosted West Point engineering major Cadet Savage at the Rockaway, NJ headquarters for a three-week introduction to the company’s specialty geotechnical work.  Cadet Savage was selected to participate in the United States Military Academy’s Academic Individual Advanced Development (IAID) program, where cadets have the opportunity to work alongside public sector and private industry leaders during the summer, applying what they have learned in the classroom to real engineering and research problems.

Under the guidance of Vice President Greg Ziegler, P.E., himself a West Point graduate, Cadet Savage visited multiple jobs sites to see various underground construction methods at work and undertook a range of tasks related to current dewatering and ground freezing projects.

“I am proud that West Point continues to produce leaders of character that exemplify Duty-Honor-Country.  Cadet Savage is a very intelligent and dedicated Cadet whom we were very fortunate to have as part of the Moretrench team this summer.”
