Moretrench is very pleased to announce that President and CEO Arthur B. Corwin, P.E. has been inducted into the National Academy of Construction (NAC). The ceremony took place at the Annual Meeting in Napa, CA on October 20th, 2016. Art was one of 30 new members selected from a strong field of 300 nominees.
Founded in 1999, the NAC’s mission is “…to identify and elect leaders from business, government, academia, and connected professions who have made significant contributions to the construction industry…and for the members as a whole to provide unique perspectives and services to issues of national importance.” The Membership Committee employs a rigorous selection process that emphasizes extraordinary leadership, exceptional achievements, and lasting improvements to the construction industry over many years and many projects.
For many NAC members, this is not their first significant honor, and Art is no exception. A lifelong Moretrench employee, he was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer in 2003 and Chief Executive Officer in 2007, in which capacity he continues to provide the dynamic leadership that has placed Moretrench in the forefront of the industry. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers and his contribution to the industry was further recognized by his election as President of The Moles organization in 2012 and receipt of the Moles Member Award for Outstanding Achievement in Construction in 2016.
Art has also long been committed to charitable works, particularly in his local community, and remains active in his alma mater. He was named Man of the Year by Homeless Solutions Inc. in 2013 and in 2015 he was chosen as Farmingdale State College (SUNY) Alumnus of the Year.
Please join with all of us at Moretrench in congratulating Art on his induction into the NAC.
